WhatsApp most awaited features ‘WhatsApp Voice Calling’ now available to all Android users, no invite needed to activate it. In our previous article we have written about the steps ‘How To Get Started with WhatsApp Voice Calling‘, when it just launch for few people and invite needed to get activated. Voice calls will also soon arrive on iOS as well. You just need to update your WhatsApp v2.12.7 or more newsest version 2.12.19 you will get from Whatsapp website for Android mobile.
Get the latest version of WhatsApp for Android. WhatsApp website has the latest version 2.12.19, get the latest version from website : Download
As you download and installed the new version of app, you will get WhatsApp calling feature activated and you’re ready to call your friends or family. After new install update you will see three tabs, Calls, Chats and Contacts. Calls tab let you see log of your incoming, missed or outgoing calls.
Chats tab lets you see your most recent chats with your friends, family or groups, like you see on previous version. Conatcts tab lets you see people who have installed WhatsApp o their mobile and now you can also invite people to get WhatsApp installed via Invite button that will send a message to contacted person.
Although you have the latest version of Whatsapp installed and calling feature activated but you cannot make a call to users who still using the old version or haven’t yet updated the WhatsApp app to latest version. Still this feature not yet stable, upon our checks we have faced call drop-outs and voice clearty not matched with regualr cellular call. To get stable and improved performance you must use calling feature over 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi network as 2G (Edge) network not capable to run calling feature, we have faced call drops, poor voice quality.
Hope as upon coming months calling service may improved more, so that WhatsApp users enjoy same experience as they via chats. If you used WhatsApp calling feature, do share your likes or dislikes about this most awaited new feature on comment below. Thanks!
