Its isn’t compatible with Nexus 5 because of software issue though the hardware is compatible with OTG functionality. So you will need to install the app to use SanDisk drive on your Nexus 5. Download the app ES File Explorer (File Manager) from Google Play Store.
As i have tested the drive performed well and very easy to handle. The only drawback is USB 2.0 interface which makes this awesome drive a little slower from other. As many other drive now in market comes with USB 3.0 interface which makes them faster, but if you like the design and the ease of use (portability), then you can go with SanDisk Ultra Micro USB 2.0 OTG Pen Drive.
