At some point, your business is going to be advertising its services at some kind of corporate event. This is where all sorts of businesses gather together and compete with each other for consumers’ attentions. It’s difficult! With all those distractions around them, you’ve got to be able to grab someone’s interest and keep them there.
So, you’ve got to get noticed! How do you do that? We’re glad you asked….
Speak Up
You can’t expect to get noticed if you’re planning to sit in the corner and not say anything! Ideally, you want someone who has an outgoing personality in your group. Get them to stand in front of your stall and talk to people who are walking past. Having that sort of representative will prove invaluable when trying to entice people to come and see what you have to offer. If you all stand there like statues and wait for people to come to you, you won’t have the same success.
Stand Out
All of these companies are in the same place, and you’ve got to grab people’s attention. It stands to reason that the best way to do this is to stand out in the crowd. How can this be achieved? Well, event promotion using marquees is a great way to do this. You can tailor these marquees to include your logo and contact information, and people are more likely to take notice of you. Also, you can create posters, banners and much more with a professional and catchy design.
Offer Freebies
Everyone likes a freebie! A great way to encourage people to come and talk to you is to give away free items. You could give away badges, stickers or even USB sticks! Maybe it’s food that you want to give away? Whatever it is; use it as a marketing strategy. You’ve convinced them to come and grab the free stuff; now take advantage of that. Talk to them about your product and you might just convince another person to invest in it!
Promote In Advance
There are so many great ways to promote your attendance before you ever step foot in the venue itself. Arguably the biggest way to do this is via social media. Let everyone know where you’ll be, well before the event ever takes place. You might just be able to convince some people to come and see what you have to offer. This is free advertising, so there’s no reason for not taking advantage of it.
Get Out There
You don’t have to stick to the confines of the space you’ve been allocated! It’s time to step away from your group and get out there. Go and talk to people around the show floor. Carry leaflets or posters and give them out as you walk around. Don’t be afraid to talk to people, but don’t harass them if they aren’t interested.
See? There are so many ways to get noticed. All it takes is an outgoing personality and some creativity. We hope you have a successful and fun time at your next business event!
